The Love and Logic Institute has hit a home run when publishing Stand in My Shoes: Kids Learning About Empathy. As a former third grade teacher, who worked with our school's character education program, this book is absolutely what all children need to read or have read to them. Empathy or rather the lack of it is a major problem in our society today. If this concept can be understood by our children from early on, it could have a major impact on families and schools. THANK YOU, Bob Sornson for your insight into writing this book for our children. This is a beautiful book, from the story to the illustrations. I highly recommend it for all families and schools.

Just received this book and I love it! When we look at society today, we see there is a deterioration of common decency and caring. Stand in My Shoes is a great tool to help kids see how their actions affect others. Another great book from Love and Logic Press.

Kids can learn easily about Emphathy through this well illustrated little book.

This book was an excellent tool to use in the Pre-K through the 2nd grade to teach Emphathy. I also used examples from the book in the 3rd through 5th grade classes.

The HVAC/R industry has progressively become more technical. With new technology, industries are requiring their employees' skills be updated to match the current changes. HVAC/R competency/certification tests are directed toward students and technicians at all skill levels. As a result, national certification competency exams are being offered by many organizations, including the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), Refrigeration Service Engineer Society (RSES), and the ESCO Institute.

The Guide to the HVAC/R Certification and Competency Tests is designed to help students and technicians pass competency and certification exams. This book is divided into two areas: a Study Guide and a Question Section. The Study Guide and the Question Section cover System Components and Tools; Electrical Theory and Application; Air Flow Components and Duct Fabrication; and Indoor Air Quality and Safety. The Question Section covers one additional topic: Service and Troubleshooting.

The student/technician will benefit most by reading the Study Guide first. Then, the student should turn to the Question Section for the related statement. For example, the first statement in question 1 of System Components and Tools (Hand Tools) reads "A torx driver has a star shaped head that is used on torx type screws." The student would then turn to the same section in the Questions and try to answer question 1.

Guide to the HVAC/R Certification and Competency Tests, Second Edition, will help students and professionals prepare for any of the commonly offered exams in the industry. Containing both a review of essential concepts and procedures, along with practice questions with answers, this guide is a valuable resource in the preparation for exams offered by ARI, EPA, ACCA, RSES, and the ESCO Institute.

This new edition offers hundreds of new practice questions and reviews in the areas of hydronic heating and commercial refrigeration. Sections on system components and tools, electrical theory and application, air flow components and duct fabrication, indoor air quality, and service and troubleshooting have been updated.

The HVAC/R industry has progressively become more technical. With new technology, industries are requiring their employee's skills to be updated to match the current changes. HVAC/R certification and competency tests are directed toward students and technicians at all skill levels. The National Certification Competency Exams are being offered by many organizations, including Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), North American Technician Excellence (NATE), Refrigeration Service Engineer Society (RSES), and the ESCO Institute (HVAC Excellence).

Guide to the HVACIR Certification and Competency Tests, 2E is designed to help students and technicians pass competency and certification exams. The book is divided into three parts: a Study Guide, Questions, and Answers. This guide covers: System Components and Tools, Electrical Theory and Application, Airflow Components and Duct Fabrication, Indoor Air Quality and Safety, and Commercial Refrigeration and Hydronic Heating. The Questions and Answers sections cover one additional topic: Service and Troubleshooting.

The student/technician will benefit most by reading the Study Guide first. Then, the student should turn to the Questions for the related statement. For example, the first statement in question 1 of "System Components and Tools" under Hand Tools reads, "A torx driver has a star shaped head and is used on torx type screws." The student would then turn to the same section in the Questions and try to answer question 1.

In Section 4 of the Study Guide, an EPA Certification Study Guide has been provided to assist the student in successfully passing Type I, II, III, and Universal Recover/ Recycle Certification Examinations.

This new edition includes two new sections, "Commercial Refrigeration" and "Hydronic Heating:" As a result, troubleshooting questions have been added, bringing the total to 2,200. These sections have been added to better prepare technicians in passing Certification and Competency Exams.

It is the hope of the authors that all of the information provided in this book will assist the student in successfully passing certification exams offered by any HVAC/R national organization.

This certification review book is very good. It has reasonably thorough coverage of the different exams and questions. I use it in helping my students see the type of material that will be covered when they take the official certification exams.

As a boring part of a truly awful adventure path

Maybe if you can find a way to get it for free, it's worth a read. As a boring part of a truly awful adventure path, with a terrible ending adventure, there is really no reason to pick this up, much less play it.

The whole AP was a missed opportunity. It served only one purpose: to justify the success of the preceding AP, which itself was just created to incorporate one of the Pathfinder designer's PC's into the setting and make her efforts canon.

Both of Hell's Vengeance (on itself) and Hell's Rebel's are part of a terrible trend in Pazio publications, and should be avoided.

OPD Picture Dictionary Audio CDs(4)

These CDs are very helpful to my students. I use them in my daily
lessons in class. Some of my students have purchased them as well.
My ESL (English As a Second Language) students need to hear the pronunciation
of words, but also benefit using the picture dictionary. They are both
great tools for teaching English.

Great to use along with the OPD second edition book!

I enjoy these CDs. I bought them for a gift. I recommended for those people who are trying to learn English. It does help you learn the correct pronounciation of words. You must have the OPD book that matches the CDs edition. The CD cover page by page of the book. It teaches you about every single situation, the doctor office, the supermarket, the school, and many more.

Practical, useful for ESL. This material give you the pronunciation for the most common words and activities and you can improve all your vocabulary. 100% recommended. In fact I did it and I feel my english process is improving.
